| 2000's: Martinho finds Florence
and the Angel Academy and his future appears before him.
He spends the first half of the decade re-learning how
to drink wine, how to hold a pencil, how to move bits
of charcoal in elegant patterns and how to apply pigment
so as to bring life to a blank piece of cotton. Now he
lives off the Piazza Uffizi, in a buidling that was once
the Medici Library. It's a long way from the Canadian
Prairies, but it feels like home. |
